How does IPL differ from laser hair removal?

IPL uses a broad light spectrum with several wavelengths, while laser hair removal relies on one focused wavelength. This allows IPL to treat a wider skin area with each pulse. Energy, frequency and hair colour are the main factors that affect treatment performance, while the choice between a laser and an intense pulsed-light source plays a smaller role.

Does the treatment hurt?

Compared with laser hair removal, IPL (intense pulsed light) is generally viewed as a safer and less uncomfortable option. IPL uses a bulb that releases light across multiple wavelengths rather than a laser with one wavelength. You may notice a light tingling feeling in sensitive areas during treatment, but it should not be painful.

Can any side effects occur?

No side effects are expected. The device uses US high-intensity pulsed-light (HIPL) technology together with MEGELIN optical filters. These filters remove unnecessary light, including ultraviolet rays, so useful light can reach the hair follicles without light-related effects that may harm the skin.

Is the reduction in hair growth permanent?

When the recommended treatment plan is followed, you should expect around a 96% decrease in hair growth. The device targets follicles during the “anagen” growth stage. Hair that is not in this stage during a session may still grow back, so maintenance treatments every 1-2 months are recommended whenever needed.

How should I use this hair-removal device?

Use the MEGELIN hair remover in two simple steps. First, shave the hair from the surface you want to treat. Next, place the device against the skin and release a gentle light pulse toward the root twice on each treatment area. Use it three times per week during the first two weeks, then twice per week during the 3rd and 4th weeks. After the treatment period, use it once per month for any touch-ups that may be necessary.

Who is the MEGELIN hair remover suitable for?

This device is suitable for anyone with skin types I to V on the Fitzpatrick Scale. Please do not use it if you have a very dark skin tone classified as type VI.

The MEGELIN handset can treat hair colours ranging from dark blonde to black. It is not suitable for light blonde, red or grey hair.

Are the preparation gel and mask included with the device?

Yes. A complimentary gel and mask are included with the facial RF device.

Which areas can this device be used on?

The device can be applied to most facial areas, including around the eyes and on the neck. It should not be used on the lips, eyeballs, upper or lower eyelids, eyelashes or throat.

Can any side effects occur?

It does not have adverse effects on the skin.

How frequently should I use the RF device?

RF mode — Apply gel and use sliding circular movements across the full face for 3 minutes at night. This mode may be used daily, but it must not be used on the same day as DP mode.

DA mode — Apply gel and use sliding lifting movements across the full face for 5 minutes in the morning. This mode may be used 3 times a day.

DP mode — With the mask in place, use a fixed stamping motion across the full face for 5 minutes at night, 1-2 times per week. This mode must not be used on the same day as RF mode.

Must I use the nourishing gel, or can I use my own?

We recommend using specialised gel and mask products.

How long will delivery take?

We are just as excited as you are for your new product to arrive. Delivery timing may vary, and we work closely with our carriers to send your order as quickly as possible. Please allow 1-2 business days for warehouse processing before dispatch. Orders sent with ground shipping generally arrive within 5-7 business days. Carrier processing may affect these time frames.

What does shipping cost?

Our shipping approach is designed to be clear and customer-friendly across different regions. Selected countries and regions qualify for free delivery depending on the order value, while other locations have a flat shipping rate regardless of the total.

How can I track my order?

Will I need to pay customs duties?

In most cases, you should not be charged customs fees. We try to prevent additional charges when an order arrives, but customs decisions can sometimes fall outside our control and depend on the local authorities.

What is your return policy?

To begin a return or exchange, contact megelinomnilux@gmail.com with your order number, the reason for the request and photos of the item you want to send back. We will guide you through each step of the process. Every return remains subject to MEGELIN evaluation.

Please note

For safety and hygiene reasons, MEGELIN currently does not provide free returns or exchanges for reasons unrelated to product quality. A restocking charge of 10% - 20% applies to returns that are not related to a product-quality issue.

Returns that cannot be accepted

  1. Products that were not purchased through our official online store.
  2. Items returned without the original product, accessories, manuals, cables or any other components originally supplied.
  3. Products showing physical damage or clear evidence of improper use.
  4. Products with stains, including scratches, food marks or oil marks.
  5. Orders that are more than 60 days past the purchase date.
How long will my refund take?

After a return has been approved and the product has been received successfully, the refund will be credited to the original payment method. Shipping charges are not reimbursed for returned orders.

Once your parcel reaches us, please allow 7-14 business days for processing, depending on busy periods. When a return does not satisfy the listed conditions, the parcel will be sent back at your expense. After approval, the refund will be issued and you will receive a confirmation email.

Who is able to use the MEGELIN Hair Remover?
